Dry Scalp DIY

Winter makes my scalp so dry and flaky! We had a snow day yesterday so I had some bonus time to google search at home remedies and decided on a two step process. First I mixed up a spray bottle with half apple cider vinegar and half water with a few drops each of lavender, tea tree and rosemary oil. I sprayed that on my roots and scalp, left it on for 15 minutes then rinsed out. I then mixed equal parts coconut oil and honey, mixed together, warmed it up and gave myself a hot oil and honey treatment, focusing on my scalp, roots and ends. I put a shower cap on and left that mask in for 45 minutes and followed up with my normal shower shampoo and conditioner routine. I did have to do 2 shampoo applications because it still felt like I had honey residue on my hair. It worked! I'd say about 80% of the dry scalp is gone and my hair is super hydrated. I finished off with a hair cut, Brad Mondo style. One advantage to my curly hair is not having to have an even haircut!
